Description

A rare, double-sided medieval processional cross featuring a depiction of Christus triumphans (Christ Triumphant) at its center. The traditional symbols of the four evangelists—the tetramorph—are depicted in relief on the arms of the cross.

The cross is made of gilded, embossed copper plates mounted on a wooden core and secured with original rivets. The meticulously crafted reliefs and elegant proportions reflect the high standard of ecclesiastical metalwork from the 13th–14th centuries.
