Description
- A late 19th-century Korean Bandaji (반닫이) storage chest, originally used to store textiles and valuable household items. It is made of richly grained hardwood and decorated with original hand-forged brass fittings and distinctive butterfly motifs. The chest has retained its original locking mechanism and character, and is a fine example of Joseon-era furniture craftsmanship.
